Utah police arrest suspect accused of throwing a water bottle at BYU cheer coach

SALT LAKE CITY — University of Utah Police say they’ve arrested an 18-year-old male for throwing a water bottle and injuring a member of the BYU cheerleading team.
Police said the suspect, William Gardner, is not a student at the University.

The incident happened after the rivalry football game between Brigham Young University and the University of Utah on Saturday, Nov.9.
KSL Sports reported that Jocelyn Allan, BYU’s cheerleading coach, accused a Utah fan of knocking her unconscious with a water bottle.

BYU won the rivalry game, 22-21, after a 44-yard field goal in the last seconds of the game.
