WEST VALLEY, Utah — A West Valley man lost both of his legs after being pinned between two cars on Thursday evening.
According to West Valley City Police Lt. Jason Vincent, police responded to the scene at around 10:20 p.m. They found a 23-year-old man with injuries to one leg. The other had been severed.
The man had been working on his vehicle, which had lost power and was parked on the side of the road. He was unable to activate his hazard lights. A woman in her 80s told police that she did not see his vehicle before she hit him.
“With one leg amputated and the other severely damaged, the male was transported to the hospital,” said Vincent. “Unfortunately he did lose both of his legs.”
The woman had minor injuries from her seatbelt.
