Salt Lake City officer placed on leave after sexual assault accusations

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department has put one of its officers on administrative leave after learning of his arrest on accusations of sexual assault in Utah County.
According to the probable cause statement, the suspect is Zander Nunley. The victim said she met Nunley through the online dating app Hinge.
She claims he invited her over to watch a religious program at his home in American Fork but then abused her, including strangling her and bruising her.
Nunley has been booked into the Utah County Jail, and the accusations are being investigated.
