WASHINGTON DC — Protestors have descended again on the US Capitol, upset over Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Utah Senator Orrin Hatch was confronted as he tried to go from his office to the Capitol on Thursday afternoon. A portion of it was posted on Twitter.

Senator Hatch’s spokesman, Matt Whitlock, told KSL:

“In the last two weeks, Senator Hatch has had his private information shared online by a Democrat staffer during a hearing, putting him and his family in danger. He has been screamed at and harassed by the very same protestors who tried to prevent confirmation hearings from even happening. Republicans have received every kind of death threat imaginable–all for supporting Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

But Senator Hatch will not be intimidated.”

His office added that the video was edited a certain way to only show what the activists wanted shown.

Earlier in the day Hatch said in a press conference that the FBI and the Senate Judiciary Committee adidn’t find anything to corroborate allegations of sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh.

“After investigations from both the committee and FBI, we have found nothing to corroborate accusations against him and we need to confirm him right away,” Hatch said. “His confirmation will be a victory for the Senate as an institution.”

Utah’s other US Senator, Mike Lee, also said he looks forward to confirming Kavanaugh.

We want to hear from you.
