SALT LAKE CITY — The FBI Salt Lake City Division is actively seeking a man they’re calling the “Holiday Bandit,” accused in a string of bank robberies along the Wasatch Front between late November and late December.

The man is suspected of robbing a Zions Bank near 100 S. Main St. in Salt Lake City on November 20. Agents believe the same man then robbed a Wells Fargo Bank at 783 N. Redwood Rd. in Salt Lake City on November 23.

The same man is suspected of robberies on December 6, December 12, December 24, Decembers 27 and December 28, at locations in Salt Lake City, Kearns, Midvale, and North Salt Lake.

Surveillance images showed him changing his clothes and appearance in several instances.

On December 12, the FBI says he wore a puffy jacket with a hood and a hooded sweatshirt underneath when he robbed a Zions Bank at 159 Center St. in Midvale. On December 27, agents say he wore a wig and fake mustache with a long black jacket, blue jeans, and red gloves as he robbed a Key Bank at 1098 S. 300 W. in Salt Lake City.

Anyone who knows something about the robberies or the suspect is asked to contact the FBI’s Salt Lake City Field Office at (801) 579-1400. You can also submit tips to the official FBI-Tips website.

We want to hear from you.
