SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Jazz guard and NBA All-Star Donovan Mitchell has become the fourth Jazz player in history to score more than 35 points in consecutive games.

On Saturday, Mitchell scored 42 points to push the Jazz over the Sacramento Kings in a 128-112 win for the Jazz. 30 of those points were scored in the final 24 minutes of the game.

That puts him in the crowd of Pete Marovic, Adrian Dantley, and Carl Malone, the only other Jazzmen who have had consecutive games scoring more than 35 points.

Mitchell’s performance on Saturday led the Jazz to their 24th straight home win and put the guard in the top 10 for scoring across the NBA. Of the last three games, two of them Mitchell has scored more than 40 points.

After the game fans in the stands started chanting, “M-V-P, M-V-P, M-V-P.”
