SALT LAKE CITY — UPDATE: The Grizzlies have clinched the ECHL’s Mountain Division Championship. Since Boyé’s concert will be held at the same arena the Grizzlies play at, the concert has been moved to May 13 at 7 p.m.

Tickets that have been redeemed will be good for the rescheduled dates, and limited tickets are still available.

America’s Got Talent Alumni Alex Boyé will be performing at the Maverik Center for Utah’s first-ever Utah Suicide Prevention Concert on May 13.

According to the Bend Not Break foundation, around 800,000 people die by suicide every year. Furthermore, suicide is the second leading cause of death among people aged 15-29. Shockingly, there is a death by suicide every 40 seconds.

“Utah has the 6th highest suicide rate in the U.S. Music saved my life and I know it can do the same for others, which is why I do these concerts. Our concept is simple; Use these concerts to help build connections, healing, and support in our community. This will be an unforgettable night that will feed your soul, and save lives; this is not just a concert…It is an experience,” said Boyé.
