Two-vehicle crash involving a semi closes Highway 138 on Friday

TOOELE COUNTY, Utah — A two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck closed Highway 138 Friday afternoon.
According to Sgt. Cameron Roden with Utah Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:55 a.m.
The semi was heading westbound and pulling two trailers of fuel. Police said that an eastbound blue Ford Raptor veered into oncoming traffic and hit the semi. It is unknown why the truck veered into traffic.
According to Roden, the semi jackknifed and one of its trailers disengaged. The semi lost 100-200 gallons of fuel on the road and shoulder in the dirt. He said there are no drains in the area.
Enviro Care and UDOT responded to the scene.
The accident closed the roadway for a time.
