One dead after four-vehicles crash on U.S. Highway-40

HEBER, Utah — A crash involving four vehicles left one dead Tuesday morning around 10:55 a.m., closing U.S. Highway-40 in both directions for some time.
According to a release from Utah Highway Patrol, a white Ford F150 traveling eastbound on US-40 at the intersection of SR-32 and River Road crashed head-on into a stopped Dodge Ram pickup after the driver lost consciousness.
The Dodge Ram was waiting at a red light in westbound travel lanes. Once hit by the Ford, the Ram got pushed into a black BMW that was stopped at the light.
Then, the black BMW got pushed into another truck also at the light.
Shortly after the four-car collision, the driver of the Ford F150 was pronounced dead. An investigation into what caused the driver to go unconscious is being investigated.
U.S.-40 was closed in both directions for 30-40 minutes and reopened at 1:45 p.m. today.
