UDOT reminds drivers of weekend closure of 4700 South on Bangerter Highway

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — A closure at 4700 South on Bangerter Highway in Taylorsville starts Friday night to allow for construction work.
The closure starts Friday at 10 p.m. and lasts until Monday at 5 a.m.
All east and west traffic will be detoured.
Utah Department of Transportation Spokesperson John Gleason said drivers should use 4100 South or 5400 South as alternate routes.
Starting Friday, Feb. 16 at 10 p.m. through Monday, Feb. 19 at 5 a.m. all east-west traffic on 4700 S at the intersection of Bangerter Highway will be detoured while crews install bridge supports.

The construction is part of UDOT’s plan to get rid of the stoplights on Bangeter Highway and switch them with freeway-style on and off-ramps.
The same Bangerter Highway closure is planned for the following weekend with the same schedule.
