One person in critical condition after road rage shooting in Cedar City

CEDAR CITY — One person is hospitalized after a road rage-induced fight broke out Wednesday afternoon.

Cedar City police said at around 3:30 p.m., they responded to a violent incident between a motorcycle rider and the driver of a passenger vehicle.

There was reportedly a physical fight near the intersection of Fiddlers Canyon Road and Main Street.

Police say the situation escalated and the motorcycle rider shot the driver of the passenger vehicle.

The victim was taken to a hospital, who remains there in critical condition.

The motorcyclist fled the scene, but police quickly apprehended them. They are now in police custody.

The Cedar City Police Department is urging anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 435-586-2955.
