Suspect in custody after fatal hit-and-run

PLEASANT GROVE — A 9-year-old boy involved in a hit-and-run accident in Pleasant Grove on Tuesday has died in a hospital.
According to Pleasant Grove Police Captain Britt Smith, the accident happened at around 4 p.m. near 2600 North 900 West. Sgt. D. Shumway said when first responders arrived at the scene the boy was in the intersection. He received first aid and died later in a hospital.
Police said a suspect was in custody as of Tuesday night.
A GoFundMe started to help support the 9-year-old’s family with medical and funeral expenses stated that the boy was “full of laughter, curiosity, and kindness.”
