Storage unit up in flames, prompts response of multiple fire crews

SALT LAKE CITY – A storage unit caught fire early Saturday morning near Washington City, firefighters said.

According to a Facebook post from the Washington City Fire Department, fire crews responded to a storage unit fire at approximately 4 a.m.

Firefighters said multiple units were involved, including crews from St. George and Hurricane Valley.

“The fire was contained before spreading further,” the post said. “Thankfully, no injuries were reported.”

The cause of the fire was not immediately available at the time of publication.
