Two rescues conducted at Snow Canyon State Park

SALT LAKE CITY – Rescue teams were busy in Snow Canyon State Park Sunday, conducting two separate rescues.
According to a Facebook post from the Santa Clara Ivins Fire and Rescue, its team, along with the Washington County Sheriff Search & Rescue, responded to help.
In one rescue, a hiker reportedly ran out of water and experienced a heat-related emergency. The post noted temperatures were in the triple digits. Crews said the rescue took approximately one hour.

A second incident at the Lava Tube cave required the High Angle Rope Rescue team to conduct a technical rescue to extricate the person approximately 100 yards, the Facebook post said.
The Santa Clara Ivins Fire and Rescue team reportedly provided paramedic care to the patient following their rescue. Crews reported the rescue took approximately four hours.
