SALT LAKE CITY — A semitruck carrying turkeys crashed on northbound U.S. Route 89 in Sanpete County on Friday morning.
Lt. Cam Roden with Utah Highway Patrol said the semi turned right at the state Route 28 and U.S. 89 junction when it crashed around 5:15 a.m.
“(The semi was) going too fast for the turn and rolled it,” Roden said. “(The crash) has been blocking both lanes on U.S. 89.”
Traffic has since started moving freely through the area.
Roden also added that no one was injured at the scene of the crash, there was no update given on the state of the turkeys being hauled.
