SALT LAKE CITY — The pilot of a small aircraft that crashed at the Heber City Airport on Tuesday morning walked away with only minor injuries according to Heber City police.
According to police, the pilot crashed during a practice session involving grass landings. As the pilot landed the plane, “the aircraft overturned and came to rest upside down,” police said in a statement on Facebook.
When emergency officials arrived on the scene they saw the pilot outside of the aircraft. He was “alert and walking,” police said.
The pilot was alone in the airplane and had minor cuts and abrasions.
