Arrest made after sexual battery on U of U campus bus

SALT LAKE CITY — Police arrested a man Tuesday night who was suspected of sexual battery on a campus shuttle bus.
According to the university’s safety alert, the reported battery incident happened at approximately 11 a.m. The suspect allegedly inappropriately touched the victim multiple times while on the bus.

After the reported incident happened, the man left the shuttle around Ft. Douglas Blvd. and Pollock Road and headed north at approximately 11:20 am.
The university sent out a safety alert in response to the assault and police conducted a search for the suspect.
On Wednesday, the U of U said that the Salt Lake City Police Department had located the man and turned him over to campus police.
