Bicyclist in critical condition after hit-and-run in South Salt Lake

A single vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 80 near Wahsatch, Summit County Thursday left a 15-year-old dead and an 18-year-old with moderate injuries.(Derek Petersen, KSL TV)

SALT LAKE CITY — A person is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while riding their bike early Saturday in South Salt Lake.
According to the South Salt Lake Police Department, the vehicle hit a person who was riding a bike around 2:19 a.m. in the area of 2896 S. 900 West.
The police department said the incident was a hit-and-run, and that the bicyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
According to police, the investigators taking on the case have leads on the driver who fled the scene.
