Fire crews respond to burning apartment in Salt Lake City; residents evacuated

SALT LAKE CITY — Firefighters evacuated residents and put out a fire in a Salt Lake City apartment complex on Wednesday morning.

The Salt Lake City Fire Department said the fire was at 123 E. 2nd Avenue. It was reportedly under control by 9:45 a.m., but fire crews were still working to ventilate the building and evacuate residents at that time.

There was no word on if anybody was hurt in the fire.
