“He is the most respectable teacher that has ever taught me because he teaches the choir the best way he can. He also teaches events that happen in his life to teach us morals that we can apply in real life. Mr. Saunders is one of the best teachers and this is why I would like to nominate him for this.”

-Ethan Hopoate

“Mr. Saunders is the most incredible teacher I have ever met. He teaches choir but he really teaches so much more. Every Monday he tells us a story from his personal life experiences and teaches us the importance of self love, supporting others in hard times, and how to be a great person. He really has encouraged me to be honest and try my hardest. He cares about everyone and if you ask he will take hours out of his day just to talk to you. He cares about you as a person and will do anything to help you. He tells us stories of times when he has helped people out of the hardest times of their lives. No one ever forgets him once he’s taught them. He teaches what is really the most important things, the things that are more important than math or english. The things that save lives.”

“What Makes This Teacher Incredible?: Mr. Saunders is an amazing teacher because he actually cares about his students and their well-being, he is very kind and understanding, and whenever any of us are sad or just bored he tells us stories and corny jokes and it’s my favorite class because of him.”

-Afton D.

“Mr. Saunders shows kindness in many ways everyday. He takes the time everyday to teach, but never makes it seem like he’s only there because it’s his job. He asks questions about you and your weekend and always listens. Mr. Saunders spreads kindness with his big smile that we all see everyday. He makes sure that he includes everyone. Mr. Saunders teaches choir and assists with the theatre program.”

– Sami S.

“Mr. Saunders is an incredible teacher because he will help people with more than just their personal life. He also has proof that he is a good music teacher because he has the golden apple award in his class room. If we show him respect he will show us respect back. Before every concert he likes to know what songs we would like to sing and he will take our songs into account. He doesn’t really give tests besides the ones he does every week that are short and easy to study for. Plus, he also does the same tests every year and he tells you that so you can memorize the tests. This is why he is why he is an incredible teacher.”
