“Mrs. Burkinshaw is truly one of the best teachers my kids have ever had. Two of my daughters have had the privilege to be in her class. She is the most kind and understanding teacher, she cares deeply about every child. She is the perfect balance of strict and fun. He goes the extra mile with everything she does with her students. As a class they put on a production about the things they were learning in history. I was so impressed with how the kids presented the facts they learned and it was even more fun to see how confident and happy the kids were to present it. She created an incredible environment for the kids to feel self-worth and confident. I wanted to cry watching her on the side of the classroom just cheering every kid on quietly giving them a huge smile and a huge thumbs up. Every student deserves to have a teacher like her excitedly cheering them on in their learning and growing. Her famous quote she says all the time is “keep on keeping on”. I love that she’s teaching our kids hard work and grit and to continue doing the hard things with a smile and enjoying life along the way. She’s been a great example to my daughters as she has been an incredible teacher, and growing her family along the way and loving being a mom. I love that they have her as an example. I cant think of a teacher that deserves this more!”
