SALT LAKE CITY — A man died on Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle while riding an electric scooter in Kearns.
Sgt. Aymee Race with the Unified Police Department said the man, a 52-year-old, was heading to an appointment when he was hit at 4082 W. 5415 S.
“(A) westbound vehicle that made a quick turn into where the barbershop is and cut off the individual riding the scooter,” Race said. “So, the scooter rider veered to avoid being hit and was hit by a westbound vehicle.”
The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he later passed away.
The crash scene was still under investigation.
