Kroger announces $130 Million in ‘Thank You’ pay to employees

The grocer chain Kroger announced it will be distribute $130 million in ‘Thank You’ pay to hourly employees.
“Our associates have been instrumental in feeding America while also helping to flatten the curve during the initial phases of the pandemic,” said Rodney McMullen, Kroger’s chairman and CEO, in a news release.

Full-time employees that qualify will see a $400 bonus and part-time employees will see a $200. One-time payments will be made in two installments May 30 and June 18.
In addition to this “Thank You” pay, Kroger said it will continue its paid emergency leave for employees directly affected by the coronavirus.
