Wisconsin sex trafficking case involved a victim from Utah

Jason Jordan, 49, was sentenced to four years in federal prison yesterday after pleading guilty to a sex trafficking charge. A second defendant in the case has been arrested in Arizona.

Documents from the United States District Court from the Western District of Wisconsin say the victim in the case was under 18 years old last January when she traveled from Utah to Iowa by train and was then picked up and taken to Madison, Wisconsin.

Jordan’s plea bargain documents say she was engaged to perform sex acts for hire at a hotel in Madison and gave the money to the trafficker.

Julie Pfluger, an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, told KSL Newsradio in an email that the second defendant indicted in the case, Adrian Edwards, has now been arrested by authorities in Arizona. He’s accused in a grand jury indictment of transporting the victim from Utah to Wisconsin.

The woman is identified only as “Jane Doe 1” in court documents. The Wisconsin State Journal reports the woman was found by police after she stayed too long in her hotel room.
