Cowabunga Bay Water Park set to reopen Thursday after fire last weekend

DRAPER, Utah — Cowabunga Bay Water Park will reopen Thursday, the park announced Wednesday evening in a news release.
A building fire in the early hours of June 11, left the park inoperable. Following the fire, the park was temporarily closed for damage repair and to assure all buildings are safe for guests and employees.
“Nothing short of a miracle and the hard work of many pulling together, is allowing the park to reopen tomorrow (Thursday),” said Dave Huish, waterpark owner, in a news release.
The water park wishes to thank all those who contributed to getting the repairs completed in such a short amount of time.
“The park has become a staple in the community. And this happened at a most unfortunate time of year,” Huish said. “We are so glad we can be back up and running in such a short amount of time. The Splash is back.” Huish said.
