Red Butte Garden’s 2025 summer lineup released. Here’s who will be playing

SALT LAKE CITY — Red Butte Garden is about to be rocking again this summer.
Red Butte Garden and Arboretum announced its full 2025 Outdoor Concert Series lineup on Tuesday, which features artists like Cheap Trick, Rick Springfield, ZZ Top, Barenaked Ladies, Train and My Morning Jacket.
“From rock legends and Grammy Award winners to genre-blending performers you’ll experience nowhere else, Red Butte Garden’s 2025 summer Outdoor Concert Series offers something to captivate every music lover,” event organizers wrote in a statement.
Overall, 29 concerts are on the docket from May through September. The full lineup is:
- May 19: Cheap Trick
- May 29: Trampled By Turtles with Clay Street Unit
- June 5: James Arthur
- June 8: Ryan Bingham and The Texas Gentlemen
- June 12: St. Paul and The Broken Bones with The Wood Brothers
- June 17: Drive-By Truckers with Deer Tick
- June 18: Barenaked Ladies with Guster and Fastball
- June 22: Tash Sultana with Lime Cordiale
- June 26: Little Feat and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
- July 13: Watchhouse
- July 14: Houndmouth with Shane Smith & The Saints
- July 16: Rhiannon Giddens & The Old-Time Revue
- July 20: X with Los Lobos
- July 25: Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas, with Willie Watson
- July 27: Christone “Kingfish” Ingram with Samantha Fish
- July 28: Toad the Wet Sprocket with Semisonic and Sixpence None the Richer
- July 30: Elephant Revival with Two Runner
- Aug. 5: Dispatch with John Butler along with G. Love & Special Sauce and Donavon Frankenreiter
- Aug. 6: Rick Springfield with John Waite, Wang Chung and Paul Young
- Aug. 10: Michael Franti & Spearhead with Bombargo
- Aug. 11: My Morning Jacket
- Aug. 13: ZZ Top
- Aug. 17: Tower of Power with WAR
- Aug. 24: Ray LaMontagne with The Weather Station
- Aug. 25: Keb’ Mo’ with Shawn Colvin
- Sept. 4: Gregory Alan Isakov with Dean Johnson
- Sept. 9: Train with Edwin McCain
- Sept. 14: OK Go

Most tickets will go on sale later this month but in different waves.
Presale for Garden members will begin at 7 p.m. on April 21 for all shows taking place between May 19 and July 27; sales to the public will begin at 10 a.m. on April 25. As for the rest of the season’s shows, presale for members will begin at 7 p.m. on April 28 before the public sale begins at 10 a.m. on May 2.
Prices range from $45 to $98 for members and $50 to $103 for the general public.
May 29’s Trampled by Turtles concert is the lone exception, as it was announced earlier this year, and the show is already sold out.
The Outdoor Concert Series debuted in 1987, bringing artists from around the world to the Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre near the mouth of Red Butte Canyon in Salt Lake City.
