At least $20,000 worth of instruments stolen from touring band in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY —The Göners ÜK was on its way back from a tour in Southern California when band members said a window of their van was smashed and everything but merch was taken. Drum kits, basses and guitars were all among the stolen items.
Göners ÜK said the thieves made off with $20,000 worth of instruments.
“They took everything except for our merch,” the band said. “We’re all completely heartbroken.”
Now the Bozeman-based punk band is asking for help.
Bassist Rob Stotts said he offered a no-questions-asked reward for the return of Göners ÜK’s equipment.
According to the band, most of its gear is marked with ‘Göners ÜK,’ with spray paint or a sticker.
Stotts said the one item in particular he would like returned is a cheetah print guitar strap he said is of no cash value, but of immense sentimental value.
Michael Ruff with the Salt Lake City Police Department said on Wednesday that police didn’t see anything matching the pictures of the stolen equipment and didn’t have any reports filed with the police department.
