BOUNTIFUL — A group of young teens found a woman’s body while on a hike outside Bountiful on Monday morning, police said.
Davis County Sheriff Spokesperson Stephanie Dinsmore said the group called the police at 6 a.m.
The sheriff’s office and the Bountiful Police Department were blocking off the entrance to the Mueller Park Trail.
Dinsmore said the trail would be closed for several hours while police investigated. It had reopened by noon.
Police said there were no obvious signs of foul play, and they didn’t believe there was any threat to the public. Dinsmore said the woman was in her 50s and was a Bountiful resident, but released no further information.
