Woman left with serious injuries after getting hit by a car in West Jordan

WEST JORDAN — On Thursday evening, a woman was left with serious injuries after getting hit by a car while trying to cross the street in West Jordan.

At approximately 5:50 p.m., West Jordan police officers were called out to a traffic accident on 4800 W. in West Jordan.

Sgt. Andrew Hercules with the West Jordan Police Department said the woman was trying to cross the street when a passenger vehicle hit her.

Officers found her conscious, breathing and alert but transported in serious condition.

4800 W. is not a major road and traffic was diverted through the neighborhood.

The driver remained on scene to work with police.
