According to Lt. Cameron Roden with Utah Highway Patrol, at around 6:08 p.m., a Ford F-250 was traveling eastbound near mile marker 95.
Due to “unknown reasons,” the truck began to fishtail. Roden noted that the roadways were wet at this time.
The truck then swerved off the right shoulder of the road into a marshy area.
Roden said there were two people in the truck, a husband and wife. The husband, who was driving, was found deceased at the scene and the wife was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
At this time, the crash is still under investigation.
