8-year-old boy dies from accidental, self-inflicted shooting in Lehi

LEHI, Utah — An 8-year-old boy has died after accidentally shooting himself in Lehi on Monday night, police said.
The Lehi Police Department said the boy died Tuesday morning from an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
According to Jeanteil Livingston with Lehi City, the boy was alone in a car at a Maverik gas station when the accidental shooting occurred.
Livingston said that nearby officers responded to the shooting and performed life-saving measures.
The boy was taken to a Lehi hospital in extreme, critical condition Monday night.
