Man dies after being hit by train in Springville

SALT LAKE CITY — A man was struck and killed by a train in Springville Tuesday evening.

In a post to Facebook, the Springville Police Department said the man was struck in the area of 1250 South U.S. 89 at approximately 5 p.m.

SPD said this is an “active crime scene,” and the public should avoid the area if possible.
