Man dies after shooting outside of West Jordan house party

WEST JORDAN — A man died after he was shot in the chest outside a house party in West Jordan early Sunday morning.
Police were called about a disturbance near 7900 South 6400 W at approximately 3:45 a.m., according to Sgt. Andrew Hercules with the West Jordan Police Department.
When police arrived, they reportedly found a man who had a gunshot wound to the chest. The man was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, Hercules said.
Police asked that anybody with information on the shooting to contact a non-emergency line by calling 801-840-4000.
