Motorcyclist dies after West Jordan hit-and-run

WEST JORDAN — A motorcyclist who was critically injured after he was hit by an SUV, has died. The incident happened Tuesday night near 8660 South and Gardner Lane, police said.
On Wednesday, the motorcyclist killed was identified by the West Jordan Police Department as Garrett Randall Pace, 23.
According to the West Jordan Police Department, officers responded to a hit-and-run accident involving a motorcycle and a dark-colored SUV. Witnesses reported a male motorcyclist lying injured in the road.
Additionally, witnesses reported a dark-colored SUV leaving the area, heading westbound on Gardner Lane. The male motorcyclist to Intermountain Medical Center (IMC) for treatment in critical condition.

The Crash Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident. Southbound Redwood Road, from approximately 8200 South to 8700 South, will remain closed for several hours as part of the investigation.
The vehicle and driver are still at large.
