One dead after I-15 rollover near Point of the Mountain

BLUFFDALE — One person is dead following a rollover accident on Interstate 15 near Point of the Mountain.

Lt. Cameron Roden with Utah Highway Patrol said every lane except the HOV lane was closed at mile marker 286 near 16200 South.

“On Thursday, February 6, 2025, at approximately 11:56 am, a collision occurred on Northbound I-15 near the Salt Lake and Utah County line, milepost 286,” the Department of Public Safety said on its website. “The crash involves multiple vehicles, one of which was an SUV that has rolled. The driver of the SUV sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.”

The department said troopers were on scene investigating the accident, and said they estimated the investigation and cleanup would take about three hours.

Utah Department of Transportation said to expect delays in the area.
