SALT LAKE CITY — One person is recovering in the hospital after a road rage incident on Interstate 215 Thursday.
According to Lt. Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol, two vehicles were attempting to exit via the 2100 North offramp when the incident began.
“One of the cars took the 2100 North exit, thinking the other car would not make it. They both ended up stopped on the offramp,” Roden said in a statement.
Following this, the driver of the front car then exited his vehicle and began to approach the rear car. At some point, according to Roden, the driver of the rear car, while attempting to leave, hit the driver of the front car.
The driver that got hit was transported to the hospital in moderate to serious condition. At this time, they are still in the hospital.
Authorities are investigating the scene.
