Rocky Mountain Power reports outage to 5000+ customers

SALT LAKE CITY — A power outage hit the Salt Lake City and Jordan Valley areas Thursday night, affecting over 5,000 customers.

In an X post from Rocky Mountain Power, a total of 5,422 customers were affected by the outages. Power has since been restored.

We are aware of an outage affecting 5,422 customers in Salt Lake Metro and Jordan Valley, UT. The cause of the outage is under investigation and the estimated time of restoration is 12:00 am. For updates text "STAT" to 759677 or visit https://t.co/1aDrb5V7hj pic.twitter.com/ICPsPBVzPw

The cause of the outage is still under investigation.

Rocky Mountain Power asks anyone who may still be without power to text “OUT” to 759-677.
