SALT LAKE CITY — The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing man last heard from on Tuesday.
In a press release, the sheriff’s office said 75-year-old Joseph Pachak was last heard from through a text message. He was expected to attend two Thanksgiving celebrations in Bluff, Utah on Thursday, but he never showed up.
Pachak was reported missing at approximately 5:11 p.m. that same day, after not showing up for Thanksgiving.
The sheriff’s office said Pachak is an “avid outdoorsman” known to go on spontaneous hikes, but it is unusual for him not to tell anyone beforehand.
Pachak is Caucasian, has green eyes, and white hair. He weighs 150 pounds and is 5 feet 7 inches tall.
