Search teams discover body of man missing in water at Willard Bay State Park

SALT LAKE CITY — Search and rescue crews found the body of a man who reportedly fell off an inflatable raft at Willard Bay State Park on Saturday.
The Utah Department of Natural Resources said a 41-year-old man from Davis County was reported missing at approximately 4:45 p.m. He had been on the raft with another person who was taken to the hospital in stable condition, although it was not clear what injuries that person had.
At approximately 11 p.m. Saturday, the Utah Department of Natural Resources Division of Law Enforcement said the man’s body was found and recovered.
“This is a tragic and unfortunate circumstance,” police said. “The Utah Department of Natural Resources Division of Law Enforcement extends condolences to family and friends.”
Along with the DNR Division, personnel from the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office, Willard Police Department, and the Weber County Sheriff’s Office helped with the search.
The DNR said neither of the people on the raft were wearing a life jacket, and urged people to wear them.
