SALT LAKE CITY — One person is dead after a rollover crash in San Juan County on Thursday. It was the second fatal accident in the county that day.

The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that the crash happened on County Road 313 near the Lisbon Valley Mine at approximately 3:05 p.m.
“An EMT from the mine was first on scene and performed life saving measures but this individual also passed away on scene from their injuries,” the sheriff’s office said.
The victim’s identity had not been released.
The sheriff’s office reminded people driving through San Juan County to be careful, as the warmer weather is bringing more people to the area. It said to not drink and drive, wear seatbelts and obey speed limits.
“Most crashes we respond to and serious injuries could be avoided if people followed those three simple rules,” the sheriff’s office said.
