Train derailment causes diesel spill and fire near Salt Lake Airport, fire crews say

SALT LAKE CITY — A train derailed near the Salt Lake Airport Friday, causing a fire and diesel spill, according to Salt Lake City Fire Department crews on scene.
The Salt Lake City Fire Department said it was working an “active hazmat” situation in the area of 450 North Neil Armstrong Road.
The department said the hazmat situation was due to leaking diesel fuel.
