Six-year-old missing from West Valley City found safe

UPDATE: As of Saturday at approximately 2:00 p.m. the child has been found and is safe.
As of 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, police are no longer considering this to be a kidnapping.
WEST VALLEY CITY — An advisory has been issued following the alleged kidnapping of a 6-year-old child, who is believed to have been taken late Friday by an acquaintance.
The Utah Department of Public Safety says the child was last seen at 9:48 p.m. on Friday, at 3274 W. 3540 South in West Valley City. She was left with a friend of the family. While at the home of the family friend a cousin visited the home and left with the child without permission.
UPDATE: the child has been located and is safe. She’s being reunited with her family. Thank you to everyone who helped look for her.

Police are looking to speak with a 34-year old.
Attempts to locate him have been made but have been unsuccessful.
The child was wearing a pink T-shirt, red pants, and has long black hair that was pulled back in a hair tie.
