Wildfire spreads near Bryce Canyon, now at 1,500 plus acres

KANE COUNTY, Utah — Officials are confirming a fire has spread to between 1,500-2,000 acres acres in the Deer Springs area in Southern Utah.
Utah Fire Info said the fire is burning south of Bryce Canyon, on Bureau of Land Management land.

As of 4:32 p.m., Sunday June 6, the fire has spread to around 1,200 acres, according to a Bryce Canyon X post.
The smoke column from the newly discovered #DeerSpringsFire is visible from the park, though air quality here is not being impacted by it at this time.
Fire is located on BLM land about 13 miles south of Yovimpa Point, currently estimated at 1,200 acres.
