Wildfire ‘under control,’ Draper City Fire says

DRAPER — A wildfire broke out in Draper Sunday afternoon, according to the Draper City Fire Department.
Officials from the fire department said the fire broke out west of Vintage View Court, and several departments responded to the fire.
Draper City said ground crews worked to extinguish the flames before air support arrived to assist with retardant drops.
Officials said the fire is under control with crews working through the night to monitor the area. The fire department is expecting full containment by Monday.
“We are grateful for our fire crews and the support from state air and ground crews,” Draper City said.
