SUNSET, Davis County — A 22-year-old was charged Thursday with sexually abusing two children at an in-house daycare in Sunset.

Kaden Scott Lemmon, 22, faces two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony; one count of sexual abuse of a child, and two counts of obstructing justice, second-degree felonies.

Between March 2021 and January 2023, charges say two children at “in-house daycare” told adults “they did not want to go to (the house) anymore.” A parent of an alleged victim told police “she noticed odd behavior,” according to the charging documents.

The children, a male and a female, both under 14 years old, were interviewed at a local Children’s Justice Center where investigators say they disclosed instances of sexual abuse by Lemmon, court documents show.

Lemmon, the children said, had the masks of fictional serial killers in his bedroom, like Jason and Mike Myers, according to charges. The man’s Instagram account shows a video of a large bookshelf full of similar masks and helmets from other fictional characters.

The 22-year-old allegedly threatened the children, saying “they would have to do what he said or he would tell their mom, and if they didn’t do what he said, he would stop babysitting them,” charges say.

No registered daycare could be immediately located using the information in the charging documents.

Lemmon was not arrested and is not in police custody, court records show. Only a proposed summons has been filed so far. No initial appearance has been scheduled yet in 2nd District Court.
