‘Distracted’ driver runs stop sign, crashes car, WVC police say

WEST VALLEY CITY — A “distracted” driver allegedly ran a stop sign, causing a car accident, according to the West Valley City Police Department.
Lt. Katz with WVCPD said the accident happened before 1 p.m. on 6400 West and Bamell Drive.
Katz said the driver ran the stop sign and collided with another vehicle.
Aside from the damage caused to the vehicles, police reported that the stop sign, a chain-link fence, and a tree were also damaged.
No serious injuries were reported by the WVCPD.
