Arrest made in shooting on I-15 near Layton earlier this month

LAYTON, Utah — Law enforcement officials in Davis County have announced the arrest of Daniel Bodon on Wednesday morning.
Police say Bodon is suspected of firing at another vehicle as he rode a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the area of Layton Hills Mall on June 5.
According to the probable cause statement, a witness saw the suspect allegedly fire roughly four shots at a gray Ford Focus. The probable cause statement further states, the victim, identified as an 18-year-old female, suffered two gunshot wounds to the face.
The motorcycle then exited I-15 at 700 South and headed westbound in a “calm and normal driving manner.”
Bodon has been booked into the Davis County Jail for investigation of three counts of felony discharge of a firearm, one count of attempted murder and one count of obstruction of justice.
The probable cause statement also state the victim suffered permanent damage to her teeth and her lips.
