Eagle mountain road rage incident ended up in charges under the state’s new road rage law

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah– This Friday, another road rage incident took place in Eagle Mountain. A man was followed by an angry driver who threatened him with a gun.

Corbin Curtis was followed from Saratoga Spring to Ranches Golf Club, according to KSL 5.

As the driver was following Curtis, he said “If you keep driving like a b-word, I’m gonna, and then I heard him cock his gun and point it up at my head level,” Curtis said to KSL 5. 

The man continued “Yeah, you better drive off before I blast you,” Curtis said. The man did not fire any shots, Curtis confirmed.

The suspect driver was identified as a 41-year-old man named William Louis.

Louis was charged with third-degree felony aggravated assault with a road rage enhancement.

With three reported cases of road rage this summer in Eagle Mountain, this is among the first cases in Utah County to see enhanced charges under the state’s new road rage law.
