Teenager shot, 2 teens arrested in gang-related shooting in Kearns

KEARNS — A teenager was shot after a fight at a Kearns park on Sunday, police said. Two more teens were arrested, and police said it was a gang-related incident.
Sgt. Aymee Race with the Unified Police Department said the victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition. She said the shooting happened at David Gourley Park at 4260 W. 5015 South just before 4 p.m.
Race said the shooting happened after an altercation. UPD and the Metro Gang Unit responded and identified two teens as suspects. They were booked into a juvenile detention center.
All three teens were reportedly between 15 and 16 years old.
