Police say Herriman woman tried to bribe an officer

HERRIMAN, Utah — The Herriman Police Department said a domestic violence suspect attempted to bribe an officer.
On Sat., May 13, police responded to a domestic violence investigation near 3700 W. and 14900 S. Present at the residence were Michael Davis, Priscilla Fidermak and the couple’s child.
According to an Affidavit of Probable Cause, Davis said Fidermak was sitting outside the couple’s townhome on the sidewalk, drinking alcohol and talking on the phone. He said he began to record Fidermak on his phone which caused her to confront him.
In the video recorded by Davis, Fidermak is seen trying to stop him from recording. Additionally, she is seen pushing him several times. Davis can be heard attempting to stop Fidermak from pushing him. During all of this, he was holding their child. He claims Fidermak had pushed their child while attempting to push him.
Police said that Fidermak was not cooperative with the investigation and that she denies any wrongdoing. After reviewing the video recorded by Davis, they placed Fidermak in handcuffs and took her into custody.
The reported bribe
Once in custody, a Herriman police officer said that Fidermak attempted to bribe him.
Officer Dustin Olzack said, in the Affidavit of Probable Cause, that en route to the Salt Lake County Jail, Fidermak offered to pay $3,000 in exchange for her release. She also gave Olzack directions to a Chase Bank. When Olzack refused the bribe, Fidermak persisted and said she would Venmo him the money to any account he wanted to avoid being caught.
Upon their arrival at the Salt Lake County Jail, Fidermak refused to go inside.
“At the second set of doors, she kicked backward with her leg and struck me in my left thigh just above the knee,” Olzack said.
Police booked Fidermak on accusations of domestic violence, bribery and public intoxication.
